At St. Ives Windows, we make it easy to find the perfect windows to suit you home. Because our windows are manufactured in our own factory in the UK, you can have windows made to nearly any shape or style to fit with your property style.

Quality is important to use, which is why we aim to create the best windows possible for your home. All of our windows are made with A+ rated glass, for the best energy efficiency levels, and you can opt for our standard double glazing or upgrade to triple glazing

PVCu windows are worlds apart from the kind made in past decades. While you can still get modern white windows, they’re also available in a range of wood finishes or colours. The frames are also slimmer than previous models while still being hardwearing. Best of all, they offer excellent insulation.

New window styles

At St. Ives Windows you can also choose from styles that include French windows, sash windows, casement windows and tilt and turn windows. You can even opt for bow or bay windows to add more light and extra space to your home.

Your windows can make a big difference to the overall look of your property. That’s why we want you to be able to find the perfect ones. Our team is happy to carry out a home visit to talk about our products and work with you to get the ideal design solution.

Common questions

What type of window frame should I choose?

The right type of window frame for you will depend on many things. Your budget, property type and the style you like should all be taken into account. While you might like the look of timber windows, they need lots of maintenance and are prone to warping. You might want to consider uPVC is a much better option and is available in wood grain finishes and lots of colours. Aluminium is slightly more expensive, but it has slim frames for more expansive views.

What type of glazing should I choose?

While many window companies offer double glazing as standard, it’s not always as efficient as the glazing offered by St. Ives Windows. We use a 28mm unit and fit them with a 20mm gap between panes, which we’ve found offers the best level of energy efficiency and noise reduction. Single glazed windows are very rarely manufactured nowadays, as they aren’t energy efficient and can cause damp and condensation.

For improved noise reduction and energy efficiency, consider upgrading to triple glazing, which is ideal for chilly rural and coastal homes in Cornwall.

Can new windows offer energy savings?

Depending on the type of windows you had before, you may save money on your energy bills when new windows are installed. For example, if you currently have single glazing or older double glazing and upgrade to new double or triple glazing, you’re likely to spend less heating your home. You may also feel fewer draughts and experience less external noise in your home.

Do St. Ives Windows offer a warranty on their windows?

When you choose St. Ives Windows to complete your home improvements, you get a 10-year insurance-backed guarantee*. Your windows will be made in our UK factory and installed to the highest standard, so they can last as long as possible and keep your home looking good. While our guarantee is 10 years, most of our products should last much longer if they are properly maintained, so be sure to follow any maintenance instructions given with your product.

If you have any questions about your windows, simply get in touch and we’ll be happy to help you out.

Do I need new windows?

There can be a number of reasons why you might want new windows. You may dislike the style of your current windows, or they may not be performing as they should. Some clear signs you might need new windows include:

  • Condensation can be seen between the two panes
  • The window frames are worn
  • When you touch the inner window pane, it feels cold
  • It’s hard to open or close your windows

If any of the above apply to your window, it may be time to consider a new set of windows.
